The bus operated by First Bus owned Bright Bus Tours was spotted in Edinburgh’s old town on Tuesday [07/06/2022 11:45am] morning on Bank Street.

Not a soul appeared to be aboard the open top vehicle, apart from the driver, despite the streets bustling with tourists as temperatures soared to 16 degrees.

Bright Bus Tours is currently ranked 109 out of 523 tours in Edinburgh on TripAdvisor, however this doesn’t seem to be the first blunder in recent weeks.

Last week a disgruntled customer took to the platform to vent his anger at being dropped off over a mile from the Royal Yacht Britannia – and ended up buying a ticket from competitor Lothian Buses to reach his destination.

Krunel S wrote: “Terrible driver. Dropped us at a stop which is not on the list when asked for Royal Yacht Britannia (dropped us at 1.5mile away as per Google) .

“Had to purchase a ticket from Lothian bus to reach to destination – worst tour service.”

Frogwench, a customer last month wrote: “Buses supposedly 30 mins apart.

“Got off to visit the Royal Yacht but after waiting almost an hour for the next bus to arrive to continue our journey, we gave up & got a regular bus back to the City.

“Very disappointing – poor service.”

First Bus and Bright Bus Tours declined to comment when contacted.
