White Transport Services premises are adjacent to, and drivers use the services around a dozen time a day at Welcome Break, Membury West on the M4 motorway in Hungerford, Berkshire.

One of the latest notices incorrectly claimed that one vehicle was on site for 12 hours 26 minutes exceeding the permitted stay of two hours.

The problem arises when automatic number recognition cameras log the vehicles entering but not always leaving the service area.

Pete White posted his letter on headed note paper to the company Facebook page on Wednesday.

Addressing the letter to Phil Boynes, managing director of Parkingeye he wrote: “I write to you about your PCN’s reference 195903/051543 & 415904/009205, Where you ‘’ Claim ‘’ my vehicles M70WTS & M20WTS were in Membury Services West for longer than the permitted 2hrs.

“This is the 7th & 8th time I have appealed your incorrect PCN’s. The other 6 appeals were successful after you admitted your error. (However I did not get an apology for wasting my time again).

“When I received 2 on the same day it felt like Christmas and Birthday all in one. Anyway my vehicles were not in the services for the time you state, I suggest you check those faulty cameras again, I have GPS tracking, CCTV and Tachograph data that would back this up.

“I would be more than happy to prove this in court. We have excellent legal representation. I have included a [hand drawn] map for you to see how close our yard is to Membury Services and why we have no need to park in the rat infested, urine stenched, crime ridden sess pit.

“The address on the bottom of this letter may also help you figure it out. You can send me as many of these as you like, I won’t pay. EVER. I still think it’s disgraceful drivers have to pay to sleep. I also feel sorry for the innocent people who pay these because of your bully tactics, THIS IS NOT A CIRCULAR – DO NOT IGNORE – THIS MAY AFFECT YOUR CREDIT – YOU COULD GET A CCJ.”

Pete went on to say that if he received an apology he would donate the equivalent of the fines to charity, and he would like it very much if they want to put his map [Drawn by Pete White aged 42] on their wall.

He signed the letter Pete White, Part Time Guinea Pig Wrestler and Full Time Map Drawer.

The post has since been liked 7,100 times, shared 1,200 times and received hundreds of comments.

One user commented: “ The Internet would be a waste of time if it wasn’t for sh*t like this!”

Another wrote: “If I ever move out your way can I have a job please. Couldn’t care less about the pay even if its five mars bars a day, having a boss with this sense of humour is something we should all have – the world would be a happier place.”

A third added: “I absolutely love your replies they are hilarious!”

A spokesperson for Parkingeye said: “Following a review by our appeals team, we have cancelled both parking charge notices.

“Parkingeye works with a number of haulage companies throughout the country to ensure their vehicles are registered when accessing motorway service facilities under our management.

“We fully welcome dialogue with Whites Transport Services.”

Parkingeye have since been in touch with the company requesting details of their 18 vehicle fleet list.

Speaking today, Pete, 42 admitted he hadn’t even posted the letter yet but said: “Parkingeye have been in contact with me and I’m grateful for the communication.
