Officers responding to an emergency call were involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The two car collision involving a Nissan Qashqai happened on Meadow Place Road in Edinburgh at around 2pm on Friday 23rd December.
Both vehicles were damaged and officers were unable to continue as the rear bumper had fallen off the Ford Focus Police Car.
A Police spokeswoman said: “At around 2.15pm on Saturday 23rd December a police car responding to an emergency call was in collision with a silver Nissan car on Meadow Place Road in Edinburgh.
“No-one was hurt but the vehicles were damaged and later recovered.”
