HGV vehicle perched on roundabout closes road for over 3 hours and blocks access to A1 southbound.
Police were called to the collision at Miller Roundabout, Old Craighall at approx 01:20am. The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered and reopened at 5am – no one was injured.
The 46-year-old male driver has been charged with careless driving following the collision.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 46-year-old man has been charged in connection with careless driving following a road traffic collision at Old Craighall Roundabout.
“The incident happened around 1.20am on Friday, January 5. Police and emergency services attended and the driver was found to be uninjured.
“The road was closed for approximately three and half hours to allow for recovery. Local diversions were put in place and members of the public are thanked for their patience.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
