Traffic police mock professional footballer who may soon have more points on his licence than his team.
Officers took to social media to mock the unidentified driver of the £40,000 Audi Q5 who is believed to be a football league player.
Police spotted him texting whilst stopped at traffic lights in South Mimms, Hertfordshire on Saturday.
A tweet that has now been deleted by the force said: “He has more points than his football team he plays for as a pro.”
He was reported for using his mobile phone, having two bald tyres, and no insurance. The vehicle that belongs to his girlfriend was seized and she too was reported for cause permit offences.
Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “Using your mobile phone next to a marked RPU car at traffic light’s will earn you a chat. No insurance will earn you a long walk home. Add the 2 bald tyres and you’re looking at a lot of fines and points to add to the 6 you already have.”
