Police seized two uninsured cars on the same stretch of road within minutes in Edinburgh on Sunday.
Officers first seized a silver Saab after the driver was found to be an unsupervised provisional licence holder with no insurance on Crewe Road South at approx 8.30pm.
A second vehicle a black Honda Civic was seized 25 minutes later after the driver too was found to have no insurance.
Police tweeted: “Uninsured cars are like buses this evening in Edinburgh. One right after another.”
In 2016 Police seized in excess of 8000 uninsured vehicles in Scotland.
Drivers found to be breaking the law face points, a hefty fine and risk having their vehicle crushed.
