The Kincardine Bridge in Fife was closed on Sunday afternoon due to a ‘concern for a person’.
The bridge that crosses the Firth of Forth from Falkirk to Kincardine was closed at approx 3:05pm and reopened at 4:29pm.
Eye witness, Lewis Fowler @LewisFowler_ tweeted “Something serious has happened at Kincardine bridge, just went past it and seen about 10 police cars, half a dozen fire engines and ambulances and some emergency lifeboats.”
A Police statement said “We have co-ordinated resources from @polscotdogs @polscotrpu @polscotair @MCA_media @FifePolice @ForthValPolice @Scotambservice & @fire_scot regarding a concern for a person at the KincardineBridge.
“The person has been traced safe and well. Thanks for everyone’s concern.”
