Police arrest man and woman in relation to alleged stabbing in Streatham

CCTV footage shows suspects moments before and after alleged stabbing in South London.

The incident happened outside shops on Greyhound Lane on Thursday evening at 10.41pm.

Police arrested a man and a woman on Monday but do not currently have a victim.

Footage allegedly shows two men arriving on Pathfield Road in a white Kia, and walking towards the area, before running back to their vehicle minutes later and leaving the area via Rotherhill Avenue.

A spokesman for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 22:41hrs on Thursday, 27 May to Greyhound Lane, SW16, following reports of a group of males attacking another man inside a commercial premises.

“Officers attended. It was reported that the man had been stabbed but officers could not trace any victims.

“A crime scene was in place while a thorough area search was conducted, as well as checks with local hospitals.

“Officers continue to look into the incident but have so far not been alerted to any potential victims.

“On Monday, 31 May, a man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and a woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting and offender. They both remain in custody.

“Enquiries continue.”
