A TODDLER shares a slice of bread with pigeons as he eats at one end and they peck simultaneously at the other in an adorable video.
Teddy, 2, was feeding the ducks with his parents at picturesque Taylor Park in St Helens, Merseyside on Sunday August 8.
Throwing lumps of bread over the fence against the wind to ducks eagerly waiting on the lake is hungry work – so he grabbed a slice for himself.
Crouched down holding the slice of white bread with both hands, Teddy munches into his end while four pigeons peck their end sharing the snack.
Teddy’s mum Gemma Ratcliffe, recorded the heartwarming clip of her generous son, unafraid of the birds that are often seen by many as pests – mainly due to their droppings.
Gemma said: “He’s eating one end and they [the pigeons] are eating the other.
“My partner and I took our son out for a walk around the park to feed the ducks.
“Teddy decided to eat some of the bread himself, so I filmed him and the pigeons eating the bread simultaneously.”
Taylor Park was was opened to the public in 1893 and originally formed part of the Eccleston Hall Estate.
It is named after cotton manufacturer, Samuel Taylor, who donated the land to St Helens Council.
A £1.2 million lottery funded restoration project was completed in 2005.
