Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the public in trying to locate two teenage girls missing from Paisley and Renfrew.

Fourteen year old Leah Dixon was last seen in Gauze Street, Paisley on Friday morning around 0910 hours. She failed to return home and was reported missing to the police on Friday night.

Jasmine Agnew, also known as McGowan left her home in Sandy Road, Renfrew around 1500 hrs yesterday. She also failed to return home and was reported missing to the police last night.

Extensive enquiries are underway to locate both girls and it’s believed they may be together and are possibly heading towards Falkirk.

Jasmine is around 5 ft. 6 inches in height with a slim build. She has brown wavy hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a black Puffer jacket and black skinny jeans.

Leah is around 5 ft. 6 inches in height with a slim build. She has long brown hair and was wearing black leggings, a grey long sleeved shirt, black Nike trainers, a black Parka jacket with a fur lined hood and carrying a camouflaged bag.

A number of enquiries are being carried out to locate the girls, with officers in Falkirk also checking for any sightings of them.

Inspector Steven Espie said:

“We are growing increasingly concerned for the girls given their age and that fact that no-one has heard from them. We are checking relevant CCTV footage for any additional information and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the girl to contact us. We believe they may have got on a bus and travelled to Falkirk and we are undertaking enquiries to ascertain if that is the case.”

Anyone with any information of knowledge as to their whereabouts is asked to call officer at Johnstone Police Station via 101, quoting incident numbers 3642 of 13 October 2017.
