Glazier could be walking on broken glass after hit, pee and run caught on camera

A DRIVER has been caught on camera after he was caught short and crashed into a parked car before peeing on the bumper in South London.

The incident last Monday (07/03/2022) happened on Rotherhill Avenue in Streatham at 5.21pm before the glazier attended to a job at a property on adjacent Greyhound Lane.

A nearby residential CCTV camera captured the incident.

As the clip begins, the Britannia Glass and Glazing liveried vehicle is driven into view and parked behind a black smart car.

The passenger gets out shortly followed by the driver, however he forgets to put on the handbrake, the Mercedes Sprinter van rolls and shunts the smart car visibly forward.

He gets back in and reverses the van off the car, before standing in between the vehicles and having a quick look around to see if anyone is looking.

Failing to notice the camera pointing at him he starts to urinate against the bumper of the vehicle and holds his jacket up to protect his modesty.

Once finished he stands back takes a quick look at the car before getting back into the van.

The passenger relieves himself in the back of the van before emptying the bottle down the drain.

Approximately eight minutes later he moves the van onto Greyhound Lane without attempting to locate the owner or even leave his contact details.

It’s believed the damage to the vehicle was minimum and that the owner may have been away at the time.

The footage was later shared by neighbour John Mulvey, 54, on social media and it has since been viewed over 13,000 times.

One user commented: “So he’s crashed into the car and then p****d all over it!”

Another wrote: “That’s a new way of marking your territory.”

A third said: “Hit and p**s!”

A fourth added: “As clips go, this is gold!”

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident hadn’t been reported to them.

Britannia Glass and Glazing Limited have viewed the footage, however they have declined to comment.

Urinating in public can be deemed ‘disorderly behaviour in England and Wales, an offence that is punishable with a fine under the 1986 Public Order Act.

Failure to stop and your provide name of address to the owner of a vehicle, often called hit and run, you can face 5-10 penalty points on licence, a £5,000 fine and a potential prison sentence of 6 months.
